2008 Calendars

2006 has just finished and we’re already raring to go with our superb 2008 calendar range. This year there have been loads of additions, some great new titles and even a whole new format!

Our new format is our Postcard planner. Imagine a pocket / handbag diary, page per week, month grids throughout, then between each week slot a charming detachable postcard featuring the works of Edward Gorey, Robert Crumb or Charles Addams. This is a promising range that will undoubtedly be expanded next year.

We have three stunning new wall calendars, published in cooperation with the “Sacred” exhibition at the British Library (April – September 2007). The Sacred collection will include three calendars, one on each the Torah, the Qur’an and the Bible. These calendars focus on not only the words that these sacred documents hold, but also the decoration and typography of their worshipped pages.

We’ve added some beautiful new fine art titles, most notably the new wall calendar from Arthur Rackham. Known for his illustrations in such children’s classics as “wind in the willows” and “Alice in wonderland,” Rackham’s fantasy illustrations have been cherished by many generations of children and adults alike.

There will be a great selection of speciality format calendars for 2008,these are mostly specialist titles that for the right person will be totally essential. For example our Yoga planner is perfect for any Yoga practitioner and student, even a complete beginner will find the tips, positions and suggestions in this diary, a great way to get into Yoga.

2008 will also see first editions of our P+ Business planner, Jewish Woman’s planner and the busy parents planner. These new titles can be found alongside last year’s favourites like the Herbal Journal and the Ecological Diary.

We will have 2008 Calendar catalogues by the beginning of March, if you would like a copy please let us know.

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year, I hope you enjoyed the holiday season. Now, it's time to get back to work!

Here at Pomegranate Europe, we're jumping straight into 2007 with a superb new paper product launch. Containing some great new artists and new products by great old ones we'll help kick start your 2007 gift range.

New to Pomegranate is acclaimed feminist artist and sculptor, Judy Chicago. Made famous by her thought provoking exhibit celebrating thousands of influential women, "The Dinner party." Judy Chicago has blazed a trail for both female artists and woman’s rights since she arrived on the scene back in the 70's.

We are publishing a series of products on Judy and her work, starting in this launch with two boxed postcard sets. One showing plate designs and one Banners from "The Dinner Party." Our Judy Chicago products are published in co-operation with The Feminist art program of the university of California, an organization founded by Judy.

There are plenty of new artists in this release, a lot of which will also feature in our 2008 calendar range. (More on that later) New artists include, Arthur Rackham, Elias Rivera, Jasper Johns and Koo Schadler to mention a few, plus additions from old favourites like M.C. Escher, Robert Crumb, Pissarro and Tom Thomson.

After enormous success in the last 12 months we've expanded our designer gift-wrap range. We've added 5 new titles, each taken from one of Frank Lloyd Wright's exquisite designs for glass, fabric, and wall decoration. These are all stunning, vivid designs, and need to be seen to be appreciated. Please don't hesitate to request some samples.

We have four new jigsaw puzzles entering the range this month. Featuring artwork by Monet, Baumann, Frank Lloyd Wright and Jonathan Green. Just like the rest of our Jigsaw range these are large 1000 piece puzzles, each printed with the highest quality reproductions of fine artworks from past and present.

For the quizmasters out there we have added to our best selling Knowledge Card™ range some great new titles. Including Shakespeare's Quips, Cusses and Curses, What do you know about Wine? and Great Buildings of London.
